Kerri Lynn Nichols has been a teacher of Orff-Schulwerk for 35 years, receiving her Master level Orff certification from the University of CA, Santa Cruz and the University of Memphis and has attended the international course at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. She has studied with Jos Wuytack, Avon Gillespie and served a mentorship with Sofia Lopez-Ibor and James Harding.
Ms. Nichols has taught all ages in both the public and private sectors and presents workshops for state, national and international conferences. She has been the guest presenter for The Chinese Orff Association four times, training 150 teachers from various provinces. Currently, she teaches Level One in the Orff-Schulwerk Certification program for Los Angeles County.
She designs and implements courses for educators in music through movement, academic integration and brain-based learning. Currently, she teaches music privately and directs The Olympia Peace Choir which she founded. The core of Kerri Lynn's work is to encourage students' awareness of their abilities and gifts through the magic of music and movement.
Kerri Lynn is a prolific choral, dance and children's composer, recording artist and author, including the Music For Dancers CD series and textbook Music Moments to Teach Academics, published by Beatin' Path Publications.
